Does palm oil contain only saturated fatty acids?
Half of these are saturated fats, the other half are unsaturated. Both have their importance in the body’s natural functions. It is an excess of saturated fatty acids that can have negative effects on the cardiovascular system, and this is the case with all saturated fats, not just palm oil. Today, with an average consumption of palm oil at just 5.5 g per day per person, this oil only makes up a minor part of our saturated fat consumption.
